The most commonly used bar codes for your master packages are shown above. Unlike the UPC bar codes, these bar codes are primarily used for inventory control purposes, where boxes within boxes may be used to ship multiple items within one master case.
The examples depict the two formats, or symbologies, that are used extensively in the United States. The first example, the SCC-14 shipping container code, uses the Interleaved 2-of-5
symbology. The last two examples represent the UCC/EAN-128 format with a six-digit UCC Company prefix and an eight-digit UCC Company Prefix number.
Additional information on these codes is available in Section 3.11 - 3.13 of the
Guidelines for Supply Chain Identification published by the Uniform Code Council. If you are not sure which format to use or if you have additional
questions or would like to place an order, please call us Toll
Free (888) 279-9859 or email: sales@aaabarcodes.com
NOTE: A digital image of your bar code can be emailed to you and to your graphic artist within 24 hours. These images are available in
TIF, JPG, EPS, BMP, PCX, or Mac (Illustrator or Quark) formats. We recommend that you use the TIF or JPG format. |
